He has practised in North Wales since 1993 through his consultancy and training organisation - Management Support.

About 8 years ago, a long-standing client approached him about getting a business grant. Arthur told him that as he had no experience of that kind of work and advised him to find someone with a proven track record in the field. The client persisted, saying that he would feel more comfortable if Arthur did the work. He eventually agreed and succeeded in putting together a successful application for a £75,000 grant. The client was delighted and told other business people - and it snowballed from there!

At various times, Arthur has been appointed as external grants assessor for various awarding bodies. This has given him a unique opportunity to 'sit on the other side of the desk' so to speak - and to acquire the mind-set of a grants assessor!
